A decade of collaboration - June 2013 to February 2023

Good afternoon Virge,

Thank you so much for attending the school meeting last Friday, your inputs were very helpful as usual.

Bruno and I wanted to send you a note to thank you for your invaluable continuous support.

You have been in Jack’s life for a good number of years and your strategies have made a huge difference, not just for Jack, but for the full family.

Not only you are the best professional we have ever come across, but also a very empathetic and wonderful person who has always been there at our toughest times. Even though you did not need to, you attended very difficult meetings at the time of Jack’s school expulsion in which you were even disrespected, you did not need to be present, but you were there to support us and to express your discontent with such decision, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Regarding all the staff from Behaviour Detectives, they have all played a very important part in Jack’s live and we will always remember them all, Paul and Rosin, and wish them the very best, they are also wonderful professionals and exceptional people. It was very emotional having to say good bye to Lianlian and Vivien, we were all in tears.

This is not a good bye, as thankfully you will continue to be there while Jack is with Residential, but we wanted to let you know the impact that you and your team had in our lives.

A million thanks to you All!!
18-year-old Jack’s mother

Good evening, Virge,

This is somewhat delayed; however, may I take this opportunity to thank you and your Team for the incredible support over the last years in caring for Martin. The intervention of Behaviour Detectives in recent time has been a massive support to both Martin and the family.

It is difficult to express thanks to all who worked with Martin. I must however single out Paul Maher who has been a superb advocate for Behaviour Detectives. Paul was consistently in step with Martin’s behavioural “settings” from the very start. His patience and commitment is outstanding and we shall consider him a friend to the family always.

May I also sincerely thank Alan (in office), Avi and Nathan for the equal levels of commitment, kindness, and support.

Lastly, thank you Virge for your commitment and organisation. Please pass this this message to the Team.

Stay safe and well and please “keep on doing what you do best”.

Regards
Thomas Murphy

Dear Virge,

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for all your help over the last year. It has been hectic at times! I know there are hundreds of families with no help that would benefit from Behaviour Detectives staff to help them in their journeys. When Heather is sorted and settled in her new home, I will email to let you know how she is doing.

Again thank you so much for your help,  your staff with their quiet confidence were perfect for Heather and really gave me a lifeline over the year.

Michelle

Oh Virge,

That’s beautiful you have me tearing up here. This is a very emotional period for us but we would like to take this opportunity to show other families that moving away from the family home can be seen as a progression to adulthood. I would have loved to have read or talked to other parents that had gone through the move.

Luke is still holding his own and the visits, although strange for me but wonderful for him and brilliant to see him so happy and well. He is saying “Home” which is to be expected but he is saying “Home 30minutes”, so looking for a great visit. Depending on how things go, I’m hoping the graduation gathering can happen too.

We are already heading towards the 12-week review with the Residential Service this week, it's hard to believe. I started visiting Luke in his new home three weeks ago, I visit every Monday evening with baked goodies for him, it was very strange at first but going well. It has absolutely amazed me at how well he is doing and how he seems to have charmed his new team of staff who are mad about him.

I’m lost a little at times and up n down but so happy he is happy. I have no doubt all the work you have put in over the years supporting him has equipped him well and helped mould him into the man he is today, especially the Covid-19 social story which is still going strong. I would like to thank you so much for the support you also gave me over the years and how blessed I feel that Luke and I had you in our lives for so long.

He has become a real man over the last few months, which takes a bit of getting used to.

I have no doubt you are fighting another day and busy supporting others like Luke and families like ours. I would love to catch up at some stage if possible or if you are in the area, please let me know, we could have a cuppa.

Take Care and Thank You So Much for everything. Talk soon, you can ring me anytime too.

Katie
